Schwabach's good soul: Marianne Lachmann receives Anna-Wolf medal!
For the first time in a long time, Schwabach had a special honor when Marianne Lachmann was presented with the Anna-Wolf Medal for volunteers at the St. Sebald parish. Mayor Peter Reiss expressed his gratitude with warm words: "I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the good soul of our city," said the handover.many years of commitment to parishes
Marianne Lachmann's voluntary work began in the mid -1990s in the parishes of St. Sebald and St. Peter and Paul. She has launched a very special initiative: an annual flea market that she has been organizing for 28 years. During this time she was able to collect an incredible 250,000 euros that will go to church and social projects.
Your commitment is not limited to the flea market. Lachmann is also active in responsible committees of the parish, where they help shape the development and implementation of projects. Your remarkable work has contributed to significantly strengthening the social network in Schwabach.
social projects and initiatives
In addition to her tasks in the church, Lachmann also launched several social actions. This includes clothing and food collections for war child aid in Roth, which she organizes with great dedication. Once a month, she cooks a lunch in the transition residential complex in Schwalbenweg and distributes donations in kind if necessary. Her commitment goes so far that she personally ensures that enough foods are delivered from the table.Another highlight of her commitment is the Christmas party that she has been organizing for the residents of the transitional residential complex since 2004. In addition, she carries out a trip with the residents every year to offer you a welcome break. From 2002 to 2016 she was also a member of the Schwabacher City Council, which gave her another platform to actively participate in the design of her community.
The award with the Anna-Wolf Medal is not only a personal honor for Lachmann, but also a sign of her long-term and outstanding work that has enriched the lives of many people in Schwabach and beyond. This shows how important volunteer work is for the social structure of a city.
