This is how the 61-year-old man in Upper Franconia, whose valuable Jaguar E-Type Cabriolet, built in 1967, experienced a dramatic last exit. What started as a relaxing tour to prepare for the winter ended in a terrible fire!

The man prepared his precious vehicle for the winter after cleaning it thoroughly. But during his last exit in the late October sun, he suddenly noticed smoke from the motor's ventilation slots. In panic he stopped on a free meadow to see the problem. But what happened then was the nightmare of every driver: flames hissed out of the engine compartment! Despite his desperate attempts to stop the inferno with a fire extinguisher, neither he nor the recalled fire brigade from Streitau prevented the Jaguar from burning out completely.
