Dog dies after changing the place: Lawsuit against Alaska Airlines!
A devastating fate suffered the French Bulldog Ash during a flight from Alaska Airlines from New York to San Francisco. According to a lawsuit, which was submitted to the San Francisco County Superior Court on October 16, the four -year -old dog died after he and his owner Michael Contillo were transferred to the tourist class shortly before departure. Contillo considers this early move to a less comfortable cabin as a "direct and predictable episode" of the faulty behavior of the airline.
a painful change of seat
When booking the tickets, Contillo and his father carefully reserved seats in the first class to enable their two French bulldogs enough space and a stress -free introduction. Places for the dogs were even reserved for additional comfort. But shortly before the start, for "security reasons", they were forced to move to the main cabin-a decision that the flight personnel considered unavoidable, although the transport boxes corresponded to the airline guidelines. Contillo warned that this move could stress the animals and lead to "extremely dangerous" breathing and heart problems, but his concerns were ignored.
Before the departure, Ash, the finally deceased dog, began to snap more and showed significantly worrying signs of stress. When the plane finally landed in San Francisco, the shock was big: the dog was lifeless and rigid, which indicates that it had already died during the flight. The lawsuit also criticizes that the entire crew, including the pilot, showed no signs of compassion for this tragic loss. Contillo was certain that Ash was completely in order before the flight and now demanded justice.
he sued Alaska Airlines for breach of contract, negligence and mental suffering, and now demands compensation that is to be determined in a legal proceedings. When an airline ignores the needs of its passengers and their animal companions, this leads to a painful lesson - at least for Contillo.
