Investigators search apartments: anti -Semitism in Bavaria on the rise!
In a dramatic commitment to anti -Semitism, investigators in Bavaria searched numerous apartments in the early morning of November 12th. The raid was directed against 19 accused, including six women and 13 men aged 16 to 66. In cities such as Munich, Erding and Lindau, evidence such as mobile phones and laptops were seized. The suspects are suspected of cheering Hamas' murders on social media and having rushed against Jewish people.
anti -Semitism on the advance
Bayern's Minister of Justice Georg Eisenreich (CSU) described the current situation as the "worst wave of anti -Semitism since the end of the Second World War". The numbers speak volumes: In 2023, 370 anti -Semitic crimes in Bavaria have already been registered, an alarming increase compared to 272 in the previous year. Eisenreich warned that incitement can be punished with prison terms in severe cases.
Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) emphasized that the Free State is doing with all hardness against anti -Semitism. "Jews should feel safe and at home in Bavaria," said Herrmann and announced that the police and judiciary work closely together to combat anti -Semitic agitation. In addition, every reference to crimes is meticulously pursued. The focus is also also on the controversial slogans such as "From the River to the Sea", the use of which can result in investigations.
