Serious accident on the A8: Child trapped and seriously injured!

Rosenheim, Deutschland - A shocking traffic accident on the A8 near Rosenheim asked for several injuries on Friday evening, November 15, around 10:20 p.m. A 56-year-old mother with her three children, aged 13 to 15, was on the highway when she made a lane change. Suddenly a black VW Touareg, directed by a 33-year-old driver from Romania, who could no longer dodge in time and collided head-on with the rear of the family vehicle.

The impact was devastating! Both vehicles were thrown against the protective planks by the force of the collision and turned at least twice before they came to a standstill against the direction of travel on the road. Tragically, one of the children, a 13-year-old girl, was trapped in the car and had to be freed from the fire brigade with heavy equipment. She suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the Rosenheim hospital. Fortunately, the other occupants only suffered minor injuries and were transported to surrounding hospitals.

Investigations and traffic disruptions

The Traunstein public prosecutor has ordered an accident analytical report, and an expert was sent to the scene of the accident to clarify the exact circumstances. Both vehicles were secured and recovered by a local towing company. The Rosenheim traffic inspection takes over the further investigation in close cooperation with the public prosecutor. The highway had to be completely blocked for about 2.5 hours, which led to considerable traffic disruptions. The traffic was diverted at the Bad Aibling junction, which further tightened the situation.
