Rosenheim commemorates the Memorial Day: Celebration for the victims of war and terror
on the Memorial Day, November 17th, the city of Rosenheim will hold a moving commemoration in front of the war grave site at the city cemetery. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m., which is dedicated to the victims of the two world wars and everyone who has lost their lives through terror, persecution or flight. The soldiers and emergency services who risk their lives in crisis areas are also honored. The event starts with an orderly move -in on the cemetery site.
course of the commemoration ceremony
The ceremony is ceremoniously designed with a choral of the city chapel, followed by the speech by the mayor Andreas März and the clergy, represented by Dr. Bernd Rother from the Evangelical Lutheran Church. A common “father of our” introduces the laying of wreath before the Bavarian anthem and the national anthem sound. The conclusion is a musical piece of the city chapel.
The city appeals to the population of Rosenheim to participate in this important commemoration and to express their connection with the victims. In order to take into account the seriousness of the event, the public buildings are granted, and it is expected that all amusements and events that could affect the respect of the Memorial Day will be avoided.
In addition to this central celebration, further memorial events will take place on November 10th at 9 a.m. in Happing and on November 17th at 9 a.m.
