Citizens' initiative criticizes secrecy for Hitzelsberg development!

Bernau am Chiemsee, Deutschland - The municipality of Bernau am Chiemsee is the focus of violent criticism! Representatives of the Hitzelsberg citizens' initiative denounced the alarming lack of transparency of the community at the last information evening. Again and again, new details on the controversial hotel and chalet plans appear, which are excited by the residents. "It is voted on a version of the development plan that was never treated publicly in the municipal council," said Bärbel Vieweger. The citizens are unsettled because important reports remain in the dark.

The plans that originally small chalets provided turn out to be a massive construction project with the size of single -family houses! In addition to the chalets, an apartment house with 22 hotel rooms as well as luxurious suites and holiday apartments are to be built in the manor. The dimensions are terrifying: A large underground car park with 185 parking spaces is said to offer space for cars, which claims an area of around 5800 square meters. The residents are alarmed because 58 percent of the possible area are built on, while the remaining areas are protected forest areas.

water problem on the Hitzelsberg

The statements about the water problem are particularly explosive! In the event of heavy rain, floods threaten and the rainwater cannot seep away. Instead, it has to be directed to a channel, which does not yet exist. The effects on the deeper districts are completely unclear and are very concerned about the residents. The future of the chalet village is also questionable, since similar projects in the area have been rewritten in second apartments, despite previous assurance. The last information evening of the citizens' initiatives will take place on Thursday, November 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the bath house (Felden). The residents are called to raise their voice!
