The restrictions occur in the period from 11:33 p.m. on January 9 to 2:00 a.m. on January 10th and extend over a length of 3.5 kilometers.

The affected route runs towards Würzburg, between the Höchstadt-Ost (80) and Pommersfelden junction (79). The traffic is passed past the scene of the accident, whereby both the hard shoulder and the right lane cannot be used. Motorists have to count on stalling traffic and are encouraged to drive carefully and, if necessary, to consider alternative routes.

The Mittelbayerische Zeitung reported regular traffic jams in this region that can be traced back to bridge work between Erlgrand and the Kreis Regensburg.
