On Tuesday evening (October 22nd) there was a dramatic incident at the Holledau motorway triangle in Upper Bavaria. A 51-year-old truck driver from Munich suddenly discovered a fire on his tractor while he was on the A93. The trucker acted by the way by decoupling his trailer and skilfully steering on the side strip. What followed was a brave step that prevented the worst!

With a remarkable nerve strength, the driver jumped back into the burning cabin to drive the tractor a little further into the green strip and then bring himself to safety. He was able to save personal valuables. Just a few breaths later, the vehicle went up in flames - an inferno that was averted by its daring use! The cause of this terrible fire has already been identified: a tire place led to this dangerous scenario.

A massive use of the fire brigade and the police was the result. Because of the enormous smoke development and the danger to other road users, the A93 had to be temporarily blocked in both directions. Various fire departments fought bravely against the flames and were finally able to control the fire. The Ingolstadt motorway master's shop was also ready to be able to redirect traffic. The route remained closed until around 9 p.m. and the property damage is estimated by the police at around 20,000 euros.
