The initiative, which has existed since 2008 and is based on recommendations of the World Health Organization, has set itself the goal of emphasizing the importance of hand hygiene in medical facilities and preventing infections. Christian Neumayer, head of the hygiene department, was enthusiastic: "This award confirms our efforts and responsibility towards the patients, especially in times of increasing multi-resistant germs."

A gratifying update for the clubs in Pfaffenhofen: The city council has lifted the previously decided reduction of the club grants by 15 percent in its meeting! This happens retrospectively from October 2023, which means that the clubs can now expect additional payments. The positive tax forecast for the coming financial year has made this decision possible. Sports enthusiasts watch out! On Saturday, November 16, a big gymnastics event will take place in Niederscheyern. The Turngau Donau-ilm organizes this year's “Turn10” team competition with a record of 314 young athletes from 16 clubs. The competitions begin at 8 a.m. and the winners are honored around 7 p.m. Another highlight of the weekend is the silence car, which leads to the soldier's grove on the same day at 5 p.m. to commemorate the dead from the world wars.
