In Passau, an important event was celebrated on Thursday: the topping-out ceremony for the new Buchner-Haus on Ludwigsplatz. Already three and a half months after the foundation stone, which took place on July 4, the shell shines in its impressive size of 4900 square meters. The gastronomy on the ground floor is still looking for an operator, which questions the continuation of the noble tradition of the old Buchner-Haus.
The future usage concept stipulates that the residents can enjoy a roof terrace as a common area. Among the foundations even a "time capsule" with an edition of the PNP from the day of the foundation stone. The construction project is not just an architectural undertaking, but part of the lively city history, which is continued with every construction progress.
With a structure of 3000 cubic meters of concrete and 400 tons of steel, a modern and safe building was created. The frame for sales areas on the ground floor as well as offices and apartments is also largely rented. The topping -out ceremony marked a crucial moment in the process, which continues until the final completion in May 2025. What is certain is that the new building in Passau not only brings with it a structural change, but also cultural and social aspects for future residents and the city itself. This positive development could contribute to the prosperity of the region and underline the role as a living city.
Future tenants can already look forward to living and working in a modern, quickly built building, while Passau also integrates the roots of its history into the modern cityscape.
