Nuremberg Airport breaks record: Over 4 million passengers 2024!
Nürnberg, Deutschland - The Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg recorded a remarkable increase in passenger numbers in 2024. A total of 4.028 million passengers flew the airport, which means an increase of 2.5 percent compared to the previous year. This number marks the first crossing of the 4 million mark since 2019 and shows an impressive recovery rate of around 96 percent compared to the values before pandemic, which is above the nationwide average of 83 percent, such as Fliegerweb reported.
The average occupancy of the aircraft in regular air traffic achieved a record of 83 percent. In 2024, Turkey, Spain and Greece were one of the most popular travel countries, while the most frequented flights led to destinations in Antalya, Mallorca, Frankfurt, Istanbul and Amsterdam.
