Eisenbichler shocked: New evaluation rules endanger fair competition!
Jump for jumping Markus Eisenbichler not only ensures spectacular flights, but now also for a lot of excitement. The 33-year-old has had enough of the new evaluation rules for landings that were introduced by the World Association FIS. In Nuremberg, the ski jumping star expressed his anger that jumpers should pull off rigorous in the future if athletes do not show a telemark when landing. "I think that's totally stupid!", Eisenbichler loudly announced and is concerned about the power of the judges.
telemark landing under fire!
Eisenbichler makes it clear why he is against this rule: For huge jumps, the athletes threaten because the perfect telemark landing is at risk. "This is how I am punished for a long time that require a lot of effort," he says and wonders how those responsible come up with this absurd idea. "At some point I lose patience, I can promise you!"
The concern of the ski-AS is understandable: what was previously applied was easy to be the best and also stand on the podium. But the new rules could lead to the best ends. "It's just not fair if you are the best jumper and are not recognized!" He emphasizes, while he's questioning the decision -making.
