Neustadt/WN loses master gardener Georg Steinhilber at the age of 83

A tragic message shakes Neustadt/WN: The respected master gardener Georg Steinhilber, founder of the popular Steinhilber nursery, died unexpectedly at the age of 83 on Tuesday, October 22nd. His family and numerous friends are in deep grief, while the news of its loyalty and turns into nature.

Georg's passion for gardening was already awakened in childhood in Schirmitz. He took over the Burger-Sailer nursery in 1983 with his wife Roswitha and successfully led her for four decades. After Roswitha's death in 2001, his son Reiner, together with his wife Christa, took over the family business, who today represents an indispensable contact point for garden friends in the region. Georg was a real family man and proud of his sons and four grandchildren.

A very special moment this year was the ordination of his grand nephew Michael Steinhilber. His last wish was that he celebrated the funeral service on Saturday, October 26, at 2 p.m. in the parish church of St. Georg in Neustadt/WN. Then Georg Steinhilber is buried. He leaves a legacy of love for nature that also lives in the hearts of his family.
