Ladies-Circle Weiden donates 2000 euros for banana flank football team

The committed members of the Ladies-Circle Weiden recently presented a generous donation of 2000 euros to the Bananen flank North Upper Palatinate team. This remarkable act took place during a training session on the DJK Neustadt soccer field. The mood was exuberant when the chairwoman of the team, Carina Völkl, warmly welcomed the delegation of the Ladies Circle. The President of the Club, Victoria Habermann, and the Vice President, Lena Meier, knelt with a donation check in hand in front of the young athletes.

Although the topic of football is not the focus of the activities of the Ladies Circle, the exemplary work of the Bananen flank association convinced women. "The money comes from the proceeds from our open-air cinemas," explained Habermann and emphasized how important it is for the club to support regional organizations and clubs. The Ladies-Circle Weiden consists of around 20 women who are volunteering through various events, such as the Open-Air Kino, a raffle at the Weiden Citizens' Festival and the sale of a Christmas calendar.

The Team Bananen flank plans to use the donation for various purposes. "Among other things, we would like to buy new jerseys because the children simply grow very quickly," said Völkl. In addition to this financial support, the women of the Ladies-Circle have signaled their willingness to actively participate in the next tournament, be it by providing cakes or through the beverage bar. "It's just nice to see where and who the donations arrive," added Habermann.
