Wolfgang Bitscher returns to SV Hörzhausen as a trainer!

Hörzhausen, Deutschland - A well -known face returns! Wolfgang Bitscher, the legendary ex-player from the regional football scene, takes over the coaching office at his home club, SV Hörzhausen. After more than 20 years without official function, the 57-year-old becomes active in the football business again from the winter break. Bitscher, once a player in the Bavaria and Landesliga, brings an abundance of experience that can only benefit the SVH.

"I was never completely away from football," explains Bitscher, who, despite his absence, always stayed in contact with the scene. The decision to start as a trainer was no accident. "At some point it tickled again," he says, and that was the right time for a return. Andreas Grepmair, the football director of SV Hörzhausen, is convinced: "The Wolfi has a completely different view of many things." Those responsible for the association agree that Bitscher's experience and fresh wind will represent a valuable enrichment.

The obligation of Bitscher does not mean the end for the existing team of coaches. Dominik Hormann and his assistant coach Daniel Schmid remain on board. Grepmair makes it clear: "We are just about bringing another component in." Bitscher will support the two, because “it is not easy to concentrate on your own performance on the pitch and at the same time take responsibility for the entire team.”

The new coach is aware that a lot has changed since his last coaching experience over 20 years ago. "Whether you can mix the more hard school from before and today's 'work-life balance' somehow-that is also a certain challenge for me," he admits. Nevertheless, he is optimistic: "I do not compete with the aim that we are coming up next year. But there are some talented players here. I want to help improve them." Wolfgang Bitscher is ready to celebrate his return to the football world and to lead SV Hörzhausen to new heights!
