MTB club championship in Schrobenhausen: Offroad action on Sunday!

An exciting mountain bike event is just around the corner! On Sunday, October 27, the Radsportverein Schrobenhausen invites all off-road enthusiasts to the open MTB club championship-the last open-air event this year! Cyclists compete in the picturesque Högenau, a forest area around the SSV sports area. The tension is tangible when it comes to crowning the fastest mountain bikers!

The circuit extends over a proud seven kilometers, in which 90 meters of altitude per round must also be overcome. MTB specialist Sebastian Brandmayr, who coordinates the organization of the event, promises an exciting race: "Three rounds are on the program for the adults, while the kids compete in adapted laps depending on their age." The start will be launched at 2 p.m. at the SSV sports home, the first winners should cross the finish line at around 3 p.m.

The organizers expect fantastic weather and expect a large number of participants, whereby there will also be women and youth categories in addition to a traditional men's ranking. Registrations begin at 1 p.m., and although no entry fee is requested, a deposit of five euros should be provided for the start number. Another highlight is the joint tour of the route at 1.30 p.m. before the drivers set off at 2 p.m.

It is important to mention that membership in the RSV Schrobenhausen is not necessary to take part in the championship. However, the bicycle helmet is mandatory! After the competition, the participants can exchange their experiences for drinks, coffee and cake and forge new plans for the coming season. Another exciting event is already taken into account: the "Price of the Sparkasse", which will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
