In Weichering, important construction measures are imminent. The Administrative Court rejected a lawsuit by the BUND nature conservation on Monday against the development plan for a new parcel center in the municipality. This opens the way to start the preparatory work. At the start, the chainsaws will be used next week to carry out the necessary felling work.

In the run -up to the tree felling work, the district road between Weichering and the driveway to the B16 at Maxweiler is blocked to ensure safety during the work. A total of about two hectares of forest are to be cleared. The mayor points out that this time frame is particularly important because of the local bat population.
