Cettings cry: Weichering transforms forest into a parcel center!

In Weichering, important construction measures are imminent. The Administrative Court rejected a lawsuit by the BUND nature conservation on Monday against the development plan for a new parcel center in the municipality. This opens the way to start the preparatory work. At the start, the chainsaws will be used next week to carry out the necessary felling work.

"It starts on Monday," confirmed Weicherning Mayor Thomas Mack (CSU) to our newspaper. The consent for the implementation is now given, provided that the weather plays with.

blocking of the district road and important ecological requirements

In the run -up to the tree felling work, the district road between Weichering and the driveway to the B16 at Maxweiler is blocked to ensure safety during the work. A total of about two hectares of forest are to be cleared. This measure is under stricter requirements of the lower nature conservation authority, which prescribe that the tree felling work must be completed by October 31. The mayor points out that this time frame is particularly important because of the local bat population.

The community has not yet published all the details on the time planning of the work. After the clearing work, however, further steps are planned: an examination for possible ordnance and then archaeological explorations. These measures are intended to help minimize possible risks for the security and protection of the cultural heritage during the construction work.

The development in Weichering could have far -reaching consequences for the region by creating new jobs and optimizing logistics in package shipping. The discussions about the planned construction work and their importance for the local infrastructure will certainly continue in the coming weeks. The benefits and challenges of the series of measures must also be considered.
