Fighting spirit asked: FC Pipinsried meets strong TSV Nördlingen!
A November day that is anything but inviting: stubborn high fog, frosty temperatures and mushy places - the conditions for football are anything but optimal! But FC Pipinsried cannot be stopped and receives TSV Nördlingen for an exciting duel on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The current table of the Bayernliga Süd is on the ninth, and the teams only separate three points. A real duel at eye level!
FCP head coach Sepp Steinberger knows that the challenge is great: "It won't be a sugar slack for us." The Nördlinger are known for their combative strength and come back with an impressive 7-2 victory against Turkspor Augsburg. Steinberger warns: "This time we are not allowed to start as sleepy as last week in Deisenhofen." A draw that was okay could have been a win with more cleverness. "We have a young team that still has to develop," he emphasizes and is optimistic about the progress.
positive mood in the team
The atmosphere in the team is currently positive, and Steinberger is pleased. The players who get less playing time also show full commitment in training. "You can't appreciate that at all," he says. Against Nördlingen, Steinberger has almost the entire squad available, apart from the long -term injuries and the battered Sebastian Kessler, which fails before the winter break. New in the squad is Maximilian Engl, the newly obliged keeper, which will at least take a seat on the bench.
Steinberger is aware that the game on the uneven surface does not become easy: "We have to prepare for the fact that playing football is not so much fun this time." But he remains optimistic: "Victories are beautiful in every weather, so even now. We have to appear resistant!"
