Trump victory: Weck call for Ulm and Neu-Ulm-Economy in focus!
The political landscape has changed dramatically with Donald Trump's election in the US elections 2024! In the regional forum economy in Ulm, 120 experts, corporate representatives and students gathered to discuss the far -reaching consequences of this election for European economic policy and transatlantic relationships. The event was organized by regional chambers and associations, including the club of the Ulm/Neu-Ulm industry and the IHK Schwaben.
Gerd Stiefel, President of the IHK Regional Assembly Neu-Ulm, opened the discussion with the serious statement that the choice and the decay of the traffic light coalition have major challenges for the economy. But he also sees opportunities: "We can also use this situation for ourselves!" Christoph von Marschall, journalist and correspondent of the Berlin Tagesspiegel, said that Trump's re -election was primarily a response to dissatisfaction with the economy, which is characterized by high inflation. Many voters pushed for a radical change.
The Future of the Economy in Focus
In the subsequent panel discussion, it became clear that real politics in the Neu-Ulm/Ulm Region will play a decisive role in the future. Entrepreneurs such as Christoph Schlegel and Valentin Ulrich emphasized the need to make their own economy competitive and to implement an affordable climate policy. Jan Stefan Roell, President of the IHK Ulm, described Trump's choice as a "wake -up call", who should encourage Germany to remain strong and capable of acting in times of crisis.
The message is clear: Germany must act determined to preserve and expand its economic strengths. The challenges are great, but the region is ready to roll up the sleeves and face the new conditions!
