Full closure of the Mil11 district road: Start important asphalt work!

From Friday afternoon, October 18, 2024, the Mil11 district road will be completely closed in the area of the Norlichsbach Bridge on the Trafohaus until early Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2024. The reason for this is necessary asphalt work that is carried out on the bridge. The competent authorities will attach local signage to ensure smooth diversion.

In order to keep the full closure as short as possible, work is already being done on the sidewalk areas that are currently being reinforced. The concrete work is planned for the end of the week or early next week, so that the construction site can be expected in the foreseeable future. The current situation stipulates that all measures are completed in good time before the start of the full closure in order to minimize the impairments for road users.

traffic routing from October 21, 2024

After the full closure, traffic will be led over the district road again from Monday, October 21, 2024. In the following two weeks there are remaining work on the agenda, which include the dismantling of a makeshift bridge and the restoration of the adjacent plots. Currently there are almost no restrictions for road users during this time.

The entire work, including the remaining work, is expected to be completed by the beginning of November 2024. The aim of these measures is the long -term preservation of the bridge infrastructure, which plays an important role in local transport connections. The state building authority Aschaffenburg asks both the road users and the residents for understanding for the inevitable traffic disruptions and harassment that can arise from the construction work.

For further information on the current traffic disruptions due to the construction work, interested parties can visit the website of the state building authority Aschaffenburg. Detailed information will be provided there in the coming days, including images and position plans for the makeshift bypass to offer those affected an orientation.
