School office moves: New rooms in Karlstadt for more space and technology!
After years of settlement in the main building of the district office, the Karlstadt school office has moved to new premises. The authority, consisting of around 20 employees, has found its new home on Rudolph-Glauber-Straße, right next to the Herold Foundation. It is interesting that the Main-Spessart health office was previously stationed at this address, which has now switched to the freshly converted rooms of the health center on Gemündener Strasse.
In the new office space of the former private and later authority building, the school office has taken over all areas. The letters of the former health department have now disappeared, while the bell sign informs about the school office. Despite the move, no major renovations were necessary. Only smaller maintenance work was carried out, according to the press office.

The area that is available to the school office has only slightly increased, but the move has some advantages. For school office manager Karin Auth and her team there is now a meeting room and a much larger archive area. Parking for the employees has also been significantly improved. These adjustments take place in view of the increasing requirements from the past few years, which are due to an increase in personnel in other departments such as the social welfare office.
The press spokesman for the district office, Markus Rill, promised that further restructuring is planned and that one would like to provide more information about it by the end of the year. Currently there are also meetings of District Administrator Sabine Sitter and the district councils at various locations. For example, when the talks are due, the watch room of the historic town hall is used, for example, since the large meeting room in the district office is currently not available due to technical changes.
In the meeting room, a modern image and sound technology is currently being worked on. These measures aim to meet the requirements for hybrid sessions within the district council and its committees. In addition, the technology should also be used for conferences and training, where participants can be switched on online. For this purpose, special microphones are installed with which communication between presence participants and virtual guests is improved. This work has already started and could take a few more weeks because there have been problems with the delivery of some technical components. Completion is planned for November or early December.
