In a festive ceremony in the Gasthof Brauwirt, 65 firefighting comrades were honored for their tireless efforts. District Administrator Olaf von Löwis and district fire councilor Anton Riblinger emphasized the immense importance of these volunteers, who are always ready when it comes to saving life and protecting the community.

"Your commitment is not a matter of course and deserves greatest respect," emphasized Löwis in his moving speech. The firefighters are the quiet heroes who are on hand in the dangerous situations and thus strengthen the sense of community in the district. The awards were a worthy framework for the recognition of 33 firefighters who can look back on 25 years of service, 31 who have served loyal to 40 years, and a very special fireman who can even refer to a proud 50 years!
