Volunteering as a backbone: Tev Miesbach fights for the future and youngsters!

The TEV Miesbach faces decisive elections! On Monday, November 9th, at 7:28 p.m., the members gather for the Annual General Meeting, and the topic of volunteering is hotly discussed. Chairman Stefan Moser emphasizes that the club could not survive without the tireless support of up to 50 volunteers at the home games. These committed helpers are the backbone of the TEV and contribute significantly to the implementation of the game.

The sporting Situation of the first team has been mixed. After the resignation of Sebastian Deml and Matthias Bergmann as well as the departures of Florian Feuerreiter and Bohumil Slavicek, the club experienced a upheaval. Moser explains that the squad was reinforced with three young players to increase the quality. But the results remain behind the expectations, which is mainly due to the strong competition in the Bayernliga and injuries. In order to save the season, the experienced defender Petr Gulda was signed.

financial challenges and young talent work

The TEV Miesbach is more than just an ice hockey team. With around 170 children in ice hockey and 50 in figure skating, the association is an important part of the region. Moser emphasizes that the financial basis of the association, which implements over 600,000 euros annually, is heavily dependent on volunteers. Over 120 partners and sponsors support the association that has reached half a million people on social media.

The ice rink operated by the TEV is another financial chunk. With operating costs of over 200,000 euros per season and additional investments in repairs, receiving the venue is a constant challenge. Moser makes it clear: "It doesn't work without volunteering!" The future of the TEV depends on how well it is to win new volunteers and motivate the existing volunteers. This is the only way to continue to act successfully and spoil the spectators with coffee and cake.
