Marktheidenfeld, Deutschland - drama on the B8: smoldering fire on truck trailers!

A truck driver experienced a shock moment on Wednesday afternoon on the B8 towards Glasofen! Suddenly he noticed dense smoke that quoll from his trailer. At 12:30 p.m. he stopped at the edge of the road and discovered a smoldering fire on one of the wheels. He immediately alerted the fire brigade and the police. The emergency services from Marktheidenfeld, Glasofen and Esselbach were there in no time and prevented the flames from spreading to the entire trailer. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed, but the property damage amounts to around 2,500 euros. The cause of the fire? A defective brake system of the trailer!

Wild change ensures danger on the streets!

But that wasn't the only misfortune that day! Two game accidents in the region caused additional trouble. On Thursday morning, around 4:30 a.m., it crashed on the state road between Marktheidenfeld and Lengfurt when a Dacia driver collided with a deer. The animal did not survive the impact. Just a few hours earlier, on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m., a VW driver recorded another deer between Ursprung and Stadelhofen. Fortunately, while the animal fled into the forest after the accident, the driver was not injured.

The police warn: Caution is advised especially in autumn and in forested areas! Drivers should always be ready to brake and adapt their speed, especially on routes with the traffic sign "Wild change". The risk that wild animals suddenly cross the street is high!
