District orchestra: young and old combined for mystical sounds 2025!

The district orchestra shines in new splendor! Under the direction of Thomas Joha, who inspires the musicians with fresh wind and new ideas, the musical community will be active again this year. After a successful renovation phase and a grand year concert on January 6, 2024, in which over fifty talented musicians performed, the orchestra is ready to continue to establish itself. Joha emphasizes: "We always have to go over time and adapt."

A special highlight: from now on, musicians from the age of 18 are also very welcome! With around fifty registrations, including many new faces, the orchestra shows that it is constantly evolving. The motto "After the concert is before the concert" underlines the anticipation for the upcoming musical challenges. The next big event is planned for January 6, 2025, with the exciting topic "Mysticism and mystical beings". Joha has already prepared a “heart” that he worked intensively during his studies. "The rehearsal work takes a long time, but it should be all the more beautiful," he promises.

a more relaxed musical program

There is good news for the musicians: The pieces for the coming year will be a little easier to get fresher and more relaxed at the samples. Traditionally, rehearsal is carried out on the last weekend in November at Theodosius Florentini School in Gemünden, followed by an intensive probweet on the Volkersberg. Joha praises the support of Sister Adelheid, who has been taking care of the well -being of the orchestra for years.

In order to increase the range, the orchestra also relies on social media. Isabel Kuhn, who is responsible for the online presence, has redesigned the Instagram and Facebook account and ensures appealing content that particularly young people address. "I always answer all questions very quickly," emphasizes the saxophonist, who is proud to have encouraged her parents to participate. So the district orchestra becomes a cross -generational community!
