Emelie Witzigmann: The new Lake Constance apple queen inspires everyone!

A dream comes true! Emelie Witzigmann from Hengnau near Wasserburg is the new Bodensee apple queen 2024/26. In September she was crowned and proudly bears the crown while representing the fruit growing culture of the region. But despite her royal duties, she remains a normal 23-year-old who is traveling in everyday life in jeans and blazers.

"I have wanted it for a long time-actually since my time in the secondary school," says Witzigmann. Growing up at an orchard, she was fascinated as a child of dirndls and crowns. Her commitment to apple culture is not only a childhood dream, but also a matter close to the heart. When choosing the apple queen, it was an exciting head-to-head race with only three applicants, which Witzigmann mastered with flying colors.

The Queen of Apple

With a radiant smile, she tells of her specialization in the Sweet Tango apple variety, which she presents with passion. "It is something special to be able to wear them," she says of her crown and the tasks associated with it. Funigmann effortlessly juggles between her royal obligations, her work in an industrial company and her free time, in which she plays clarinet and does sports.

"Without my family, I would probably never have become queen," she admits. Her parents have always encouraged them to discover their talents. Witzigmann is aware that her role goes far beyond the pretty appearance in the dirndl. She wants to talk to people and promote knowledge about agriculture, especially through regional products.

"In the meantime, it is really about bringing young people closer to the knowledge of agriculture," she explains. Their plans for the future are also exciting: trips to Scandinavian countries, Canada or Thailand are on their list. Emelie Witzigmann is not only a queen, but also an ambassador for the region and her products!
