Every year in autumn, the small village of Kümmel blooms with a very special event: the traditional fruit market. This year the market will be celebrated for the 23rd time, on Sunday, October 13th. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the community, which counts just 35 inhabitants, transforms into a lively place of encounter and celebration. What makes the event so extraordinary is not only the amount of fresh products that are available, but also the cross -community commitment. The fruit and gardening association organizes the event together with the fire brigade. "We all pull together, otherwise this would not be possible here," explains Anne Hornung, the chairwoman of the fruit and horticultural association. This cooperation has contributed to making the festival a popular tradition in the region.

The program starts at 1 p.m. with the "Impulses for Thanksgiving", which take place in the charming Marienkapelle. This opening ceremony symbolizes the thanks for the harvest and the community behind this festival. The market itself offers a rich selection of fruit and vegetables, as well as homemade jams, liqueurs and autumn decorations. Visitors can admire and acquire the variety of regional products while enjoying the harmonious atmosphere.

For the little guests, there is a colorful game and handicraft program from 1.30 p.m., which ensures a lot of fun and variety.
