Parcel deliverers under suspicion: 6000 euros value stolen gifts!
In a shocking wave of package thefts, investigations against several package messengers in Germany began. In Landshut it became known that two employees of a delivery service, aged 24 and 26, are suspected of stealing packages with a total value of around 6,000 euros. An attentive entrepreneur noticed that the two deliverers obviously camped in their rooms. This campaign could significantly affect Christmas for some recipients, as the police reported. The perpetrators were arrested and released later after the police measures were completed. However, securing the goods could easily save part of the missing gifts, as the police announced. Investigations in Rostock
But there are not only problems with deliverers in Bavaria. In Rostock, too, the police are investigating six parcel messengers between the ages of 20 and 27. These are said to have marked packages over a longer period of time and then kept. According to the Rostock police, these machinations have reached a value of around 10,000 euros, with mainly clothing and electronic devices being embezzled. An attentive employee of a shipping service pointed out the police for striking irregularities that associated themselves with lack of delivery. Several disappeared objects were discovered during searches for the suspects' living space. (Source: NDR )
