Germany's best mechatronics engineer: exciting competition in Landshut!

In the heart of Bavaria, more precisely in the Landshut education center, a spectacular competition took place on Saturday, which brought together the best land and construction machinery mechatronics technicians in Germany. Ten talented journeyman from all over Germany competed against each other in the federal decision of the German Championship in the Handwerk (DMH). After a nerve-wracking day full of challenges, Philipp Allkämper from Rhineland-Palatinate was crowned German champion, while Florian Wiederstein from Haarbach in the Passau district took second place.

The participants had to face twelve demanding tasks over eight hours, which covered the entire spectrum of their profession. From the precise adjustment of an engine to checking the emissions afterwards - the tasks were as diverse as the machines themselves, including tractors, excavators and even chainsaws. At the end of the day, the winners were determined: Allkämper took first place, followed by Wiederstein. The two third places went to Paul Halbig from Lower Saxony and Tobias Schepper from Baden-Württemberg.

The award ceremony was an emotional moment in which all participants were honored with documents for their outstanding achievements. Federal Guild Master Norbert Stenglein praised the candidates: "You have proven that agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics are true all-rounders!" Christian Kaiser, deputy HWK area manager, was also proud of the orientation of the competition and the high training quality in Landshut.

Philipp Allkämper, the bright winner, was enthusiastic: "It was an exciting challenge. I am overjoyed to be over my victory!" Florian Wiederstein was also satisfied and grateful for the opportunity to take part in this competition. The German Handicraft Championship is held in around 150 appointments every year, and the federal winners will be honored in Berlin on December 7th.
