Sustainable mobility: Landsberg shows how it works!
In an exciting turn for mobility in Germany, E+K Move, Ehret+Klein's subsidiary, has great plans for a successful pilot project in Landsberg am Lech! The innovative "Quartiershub" concept has turned out to be a real hit, and other cities are now on the list for the expansion of this future -oriented mobility concept. With over 40,000 kilometers covered in the first few months alone, this new approach is celebrated as a model for sustainable mobility in smaller cities!
The focus is on the first quarters hub in the district on Papierbach, which went into regular operation in June. This modern mobility center combines electric car sharing, bicycles and cargo bikes - everything can be controlled comfortably via an app. "The district of E+K Move is considered a clear enrichment in Landsberg am Lech," explains Christoph Heilmeier, Managing Director of E+K Move. "It offers sustainable electromobility and the opportunity to leave expensive cars behind." The residents are enthusiastic and use the offer not only on site, but also beyond the borders of the neighborhood.nationwide roll-out planned
This is only the beginning! The positive feedback and high demand have encouraged E+K Move to roll out the concept throughout Germany. The neighborhood shub not only offers shared mobility, but also includes important solutions for the real estate industry. The environmentally friendly use of parking space and the creation of e-charging infrastructures are also central components. "Using the economic potential of inner -city parking space as a multifunctional mobility hub is considerable," adds Heilmeier.
The teachings from Landsberg are clear: climate -friendly mobility solutions are not just a utopia for metropolises. You can also work in smaller cities! The impending turnover of the mobility must be seen as an integral part of urban planning in order to be successful. Lower construction costs, better certifications and higher acceptance in new projects are just a few of the advantages that this concept promises!
