MVV expansion 2025: New train stations and bus lines for Bavaria!

From January 1, 2025, the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV) will be expanded to include the districts of Landsberg am Lech and Weilheim-Schongau! This exciting news means that the MVV room now covers an impressive area of around 10,365 km² and encompasses around 3.7 million people. This makes almost a third of the Bavarian population part of the MVV area-a truly monumental step for the region!

The first expansion of the MVV last year was a resounding success! The new tariffs and services were enthusiastically accepted by the passengers. After the integration of Bad-Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Miesbach and Rosenheim, the MVV already offers nine railway and around 100 bus lines in the new composite counties. And now, with the New Year's date 2025, there are 20 more train stations and train stops as well as around 50 new bus lines! These include the popular Ammersee and Pfaffenwinkelbahn, which will significantly expand the offer.

a new traffic horizon

This expansion of the MVV is not only a profit for the commuters, but also for the entire region. The improved connections will make it easier for people to achieve their goals and increase mobility in the region. Integration into the MVV means more flexibility and comfort for passengers who can now benefit from an even more extensive transport network. The anticipation for the new possibilities is noticeable and the region is facing an exciting time of changes!
