Forest knowledge for everyone: Seminars start in February 2025!

Kronach, Deutschland - As part of the Wald education program (Biwa), a new series of seminars will start on February 5, 2025, which is aimed at private forest owners in the districts of Coburg, Kronach, Kulmbach and Lichtenfels. Wiesentbote reports that the Seminar series is organized by the Forsten of the Office of the Office, Agriculture and Forestry (Aelf) Coburg-Kulmbach. The aim of the events is to convey a basic forest knowledge that promotes sustainable use of the forest. While the series of seminars does not replace individual advice, it contributes to strengthening the professional expertise of forest owners.

The series of seminars is offered as a hybrid event, with theoretical foundations that are provided as video conferences, and practical knowledge that is acquired in presence. There are 30 places per district available, registration is now possible online via the homepage of the Aelf Coburg-Kulmbach. The video conferences take place on Tuesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and deal with various topics such as cultivation in climate change, forest protection and forest rights for private forest owners. The practical days are scheduled for Friday afternoon at various forest locations.

The video conferences begin on February 5, 2025 with the topic "Tree -grabic suitability in climate change" and deal with other relevant topics by March 4, 2025. The practice days are also planned to apply what theoretically learned in practice.

Registration for this program is possible until January 31, 2025. When overbooking, the time of registration decides on participation.

A similar educational program offered by the Aelf Passau, which also aims to impart basic knowledge about the forest ecosystem and its management, includes lectures and excursions. Both new and experienced forest owners are addressed. Registration takes place via Aelf Passau.

The programs presented illustrate the commitment to provide forest owners the necessary knowledge so that they can manage their forest sustainably. aelf Passau emphasizes that excursions are also part of the program, which ensures sound training.
