Six new trees in the Kitzinger outdoor pool: a gift from the regular guests!
Mondseeinsel, Kitzingen, Deutschland - An exciting project took shape in the Kitzinger outdoor pool on the Mondsee island! Six magnificent young trees were planted, all thanks to the generous donations loyal regular guests. This initiative, which was born in summer, has now been successfully implemented and brings a breath of fresh air to the outdoor pool season!
Under the bright sun rays, four spherical cherries and two amber trees were set along the swimmer basin and behind the diving tower. Mayor Stefan Güntner thanked the donors who have a strong connection to their outdoor pool. "With these new trees, the bathroom feels really completely," he emphasized. Last year the city invested a lot in technology and a new swimmer pool, but the trees give the area that certain something!
a joint project with vision
The idea of planting shade trees was created in June at high summer temperatures. Petra Vandecar and Silvia Hofmann quickly convinced four other regular guests from their project. "We not only wanted shadows, but also an aesthetic aspect," said Olivier Rombach, Managing Director of Stadtbetriebe GmbH. The new trees complete a gap and complete the overall picture of the outdoor pool. A big thank you also goes to the employees Alexandra Schwab and Kerstin Fliehr, who actively support the project.
Harald Knobling recalled the Kitzinger beautification association, which was responsible for greening the city from 1879 to 1980. "Maybe this is the beginning of a new movement," he said optimistically. The tree donors, including Alexandra and Walter Graf and other committed citizens, could also take action in other urban areas and contribute to the beautification of Kitzingen!
