A festival of sovereignty: Casteller Kirchweih inspires with wine princesses!
A dazzling spectacle of the greatness culminated this year at the Casteller Kirchweih. With an impressive procession, led by no less than 14 wine princesses, the pageant passed through the streets, past inviting restaurants and the magnificent castle. The Willanzheim musicians provided the background musicians, while the citizens were already waiting for the arrival of the hustle and bustle on Rathausplatz.
The focus was on the Casteller wine princess Johanna, which was duly introduced under the radiant eyes of the festival community by David and Matthias Fuchs, the charming preachers. These two gentlemen, in elegant tailcoats and cylinders, took responsibility very seriously and ensured that Johanna was not forgotten in the crowd. After a humorous sermon in which they illuminated embarrassing episodes of the past year, they also presented numerous original gifts.Funny gifts and urgent donations of money
The highlights of the evening were the hilarious stories about the nightly adventures of the villagers and the winking gifts. So Erna Grasser, the "heart lady from the parish hall", received a loving gift basket to her retirement, while Mayor Christian Hähnlein was twice presented. First there was subside wedges for his car, as practical help against rolling away, and then a donation that should be used for a long -discussed part of local politics: the village lamps. These are switched off for energy savings at night, and the preachers make it clear that the donation is the first step to let the lamp burn longer.
with a happy laugh and the church youth, which replied the best scenes, the evening at Rathausplatz ended in mild autumn weather and thus caused unforgettable memories. A great festival that the community brought together like no other!
