In Ingolstadt, the fascinating history of Germans from Russia comes to life! An impressive hiking exhibition has started on the initiative of the Germans team of the Germans from Russia (LMDR) and in cooperation with the Bavarian Cultural Center. This exhibition, which is under the motto "Bridges of the Community", celebrated its first stop at the Christoph Kolumbus School and is now moving to the Katharinen-Gymnasium.
At the opening of the exhibition, headmaster Matthias Schickel emphasized the often overlooked and misunderstood history of this population group. Mayor Dorothea Deneke-Stoll underlined the importance of Germans from Russia in Ingolstadt, while Christian Sprenger from the LMDR gave a captivating lecture on the "Basic Lines of Russian History and Present". The event was framed by moving readings by the students Michelle Harms and Katharina Held from the novel "The Memory of the Daughters" by Irene Langemann.Visit the hiking exhibition!
