Ingolstadt Dukes start through: new team, fresh colors and big plans!
The Ingolstadt Dukes are facing an exciting fresh start! After the dramatic withdrawal from the GFL1, the American footballers of TV 1861 Ingolstadt have big plans for the future. With Peter Markoff as a new head coach and the experienced Peter Dasch as a sporty leader, the Dukes rely on proven forces to take the team back to the top. "We are very happy to have the constant in him," emphasizes department head Sebastian Jänicke about Dasch, who is considered the founding chairman of the Dukes and is now playing a central role.
New team design and fresh wind
Visually, the team will also change! In addition to the traditional colors black and white, blue is integrated into the logo and the entire presentation, inspired by the city colors Ingolstadt. "We also want to show here that something happens to us," explains Jänicke. The Dukes are determined to recapture their name in the football world and show the fans: "We are the Ingolstadt Dukes, from Ingolstadt, we are here and we stay here, of course!"
The first steps in the "Project 2025" are set and the team remains together! Quarterback Dan "Lipo" Lipovanciuc will continue to play a key role despite his long journey from Lower Bavaria. "He liked it," says Jänicke. The Dukes are determined to use the enthusiasm for the "hottest sport in the world" and to win new players, while at the same time focusing on youth work and training hobby athletes. "Everyone who wants to play football is welcome," adds Jänicke.
A big thank you goes to TV 1861 Ingolstadt for the support during the financial crisis. "We are extremely grateful that the TV caught us," says Jänicke. With stable conditions and a clear plan, the Dukes now want to pay back and increase their sporty form. The fans can be excited to see what the coming season will bring!
