24 hours for the future: swimming against bathing death!
On Saturday the 24-hour swimming of the Wasserwacht Thannhausen took place, which lasted until Sunday. This event aims to draw attention to the diesel and to emphasize the importance of an indoor pool for the population. The team wins in this competition, which has covered the most railways after 24 hours.
A central set of rules was determined for the participants: only one swimmer can always be in the water at the same time, while change within the team is possible as desired. The event is open both hobby swimmers and professionals and requires registration in groups of at least six people.
importance of the indoor pools
The initiative of the Wasserwacht indicates the problem that many children cannot or cannot swim safely. The responsibility for this is initially with the parents, but damaged or missing indoor pools are considerably more difficult to learn to swim. The indoor pool in Thannhausen is currently the only bath in the district of Günzburg. The reopening of the indoor pools in Krumbach, Leipheim and Ichenhausen is still pending, which makes the need for the event all the more clear.
The Wasserwacht Thannhausen sees this event an opportunity to spend special moments together in the indoor pool and at the same time to point out the important role of indoor pools in the community, as is explained on the website of the Wasserwacht Thannhausen.
