Pensioner outsmarts shock caller: police arrest fraudsters!

Eichenau, a tranquil village in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, recently made headlines of a terrifying incident. An 85-year-old pensioner was the goal of a so-called shock call last Friday, which is a great danger for many seniors. This fraud stitch aims to gain the trust of the older generation and to move it to the surrender of money.

around 12:45 p.m. the senior received a call from someone who spent a police officer. In the conversation, he was informed that his daughter was involved in a traffic accident and that she could only miss a prison sentence by paying a deposit of around 60,000 euros, consisting of cash and coins. Such messages are often devastating for many concerned parents, and the pressure to act immediately is enormous.

a clever move

The pensioner did not react like many others in this situation. Instead of acting panically, he managed to outsmart the fraudsters and keep a cool head. During the phone call, he came to mind to alert the police. This quick and considered action was crucial to prevent an even worse situation.

After hours of conversations with the fraudsters and the specified time to hand over the deposit, the time had come. The police were already on site and were able to arrest the pick -up. This fast reaction of the police and the cool head of the pensioner led to a success in an angelic case of fraud.

coming legal steps

The suspect, a 21-year-old Ukrainian, lived in Baden-Württemberg at the time of the incident. The following Saturday, at the request of the responsible public prosecutor's office in Munich II, he was presented to a judge that issued an arrest warrant against him. The pick -up was then brought to a correctional facility, which means that he now has to deal with the legal consequences of his actions.

It is particularly interesting that this pensioner was not the first time the victim of a fraud attempt. As early as 2022, he was faced with a similar fraud stitch, where he was also able to inform the police and to hold the perpetrators into account. Such repeated attempts show that the perpetrators do not give up and use their unscrupulous methods steadily.

The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police have taken over the investigation and will do everything possible to clarify the background of these so -called shock calls. It remains to be hoped that the law enforcement agencies will operate even more prevention to protect older people from such fraudsters. Trust in the police and informed relatives must be in the foreground to ensure the security of citizens.
