A great weekend for the volleyball players of SG Saldenburg! With an impressive home game day, you not only secured important points for relegation in the Landesliga Süd-Ost, but also conquered the hearts of your fans.

In the first match against TV Viechtach, the Saldenburgers showed their dominance right from the start. The first set ended with a clear 25:18 for the hosts. But the second set was a real thriller: despite the hard resistance, the Saldenburgers had to hand in 30:32. But the team was not discouraged and brought back the following sentences with strong attack and block campaigns, which they won with 25:21 and 25:19

The absolute highlight of the day was the most excited derby against the first men's team from Passau. After winning the championship last season against VC-DJK Passau II, the Saldenburgers went into the game with their victory against Viechtach and the support of their fans, full of enthusiasm. The first set was a real firework: player Florian Wosch tore holes in the defense of the Passauer and made it possible for his outdoor attackers Florian Geissinger and Jonas Duschl a strong first set with 25:18. The second set was a head-to-head race that the Saldenburgers won with a decisive block of middle attackers Julian Kobler with 26:24. After a short breather in the third set (13:25), the Saldenburgers then switched one gear and played their best section of the season, which ended with a clear 25:16 and secured the derby victory.
