Knaus Tabbert stops production: 4,000 jobs in danger!
Jandelsbrunn, Deutschland - The motorhome manufacturer Knaus Tabbert, based in Jandelsbrunn in the Freyung-Grafenau district, has made a dramatic decision: From November 18, 2024, production at the locations in Jandelsbrunn and in Hungarian Nagyoroszi will be temporarily discontinued! This measure affects the majority of around 4,000 employees of the company, who are now looking into an uncertain time.
The drastic production break aims to reduce the inventory to an economically viable level. Knaus Tabbert fights with excessive stocks at the dealers and urgently needs to act to reduce their own warehouses. While the works stand still in Jandelsbrunn and Nagyoroszi, the production in Mottgers, Hessen, and key field at Bamberg, where luxurious motorhomes are manufactured, remains unaffected.
Knaus Tabbert misses sales target!
The situation is alarming! Knaus Tabbert had set itself an ambitious sales target of 1.3 billion euros for 2024, but it is now clear that this goal will be missed. In the previous year, the company was able to generate sales of 1.4 billion euros, but this year there were already two profit warnings. After the resignation of the CEO Wolfgang Speck on October 31, Werner Vaterl is now taking the lead in the lead. The future of the company is on the brink!
