A shocking case from Freising kept the judiciary up to trot! A 29-year-old building cleaner was convicted at the district court in Landshut after having difficulties with drug trafficking. The public prosecutor accused him of selling cocaine at supermarket parking spaces in Freising and Oberding. The court imposed a prison sentence of one year and ten months, but that is only the tip of the iceberg!

The accused tried to buy a kilo of cocaine for a whopping 36,000 euros, but only received a brick as fraud. Despite this turn, he would have expected a punishment of over four years for drug trafficking, since the only attempt to acquire drugs has already been punishable. With a criminal history of ten criminal records, including assault and drug trafficking, his situation was anything but rosy. A court had even hoped that the foundation of his cleaning company and the upcoming birth of his second child would bring him on the right path - but the new allegations fall into the probation period!

The main accusation was surprisingly discontinued after a new witness had appeared that brought the situation to falter. It turned out that the accused was not the one who wanted to buy drugs, but that he had received 18,000 euros from a friend to procure drugs - and instead got a brick! This phrase could have for the known serious consequences, since it would have made herself punishable if the testimony's statements are confirmed.

The defense lawyer requested that the punishment to be suspended because his client had only sold small quantities of cocaine and was in a personal crisis. Richter Lindinger, however, rejected the application: "There is no way". Despite his criminal record and open probation, the court saw no positive social forecast for the accused. Nevertheless, the ceremony was lifted so that the building cleaner can take care of his family before he has to serve the remaining 17 months. A drama that shows how quickly life can get out of joint!
