First aid with fun: Oba Forchheim delights children and adults!
An exciting weekend for the participants of the OBA leisure activities in Forchheim! On November 17, 14 children aged 5 to 16, together with five carers, experienced an exciting first aid course, which was led by the experts of the BRK Forchheim. This course followed a successful adult course on November 10th and had the goal of reducing fears and conveying the basics of first aid in a happy atmosphere.
under the direction of Sabrina Mertz, the little participants were there with a lot of enthusiasm! They practiced creating associations, gluing plasters and learning the stable side position. The practical exercises provided a lot of joy and interest, especially the head associations were an absolute hit! The children not only had the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge, but also to apply their skills in a playful environment.
A look behind the scenes
Another highlight was the visit to the BRK's vehicle hall, where the participants could experience the emergency vehicles up close. The impressive blue lights provided great enthusiasm and made the children forget the fear of the emergency services. At the end of the course, all participants received a certificate and a small BRK Teddy as a memory of this unforgettable day.
The combination of learning and fun made these two afternoons a special experience that not only illustrated the importance of first aid, but also showed that the ambulance does not have to be so terrifying. A complete success for the OBA and the BRK Forchheim!
