Seven new rescuers of the water guard: Training at the Finsinger Weiher Successful!
Am Finsinger Weiher recently trained seven new lifeguards, which are now part of the Wasserwacht Dorfen and Finsing. This training is an important step in ensuring water security in the region. The prospective emergency services had the opportunity to play through different scenarios that not only demanded physical skills, but also the ability to make quick decision -making and teamwork.
As part of a course of 16 teaching units, the participants were taught a wide range of skills. The focus was particularly on practical training. For example, the new rescuers learned how to proceed with and without defibrillator. These exercises took place directly at the Finsinger Badeweiher, which offered the participants a realistic training environment.
Fitness, medical knowledge and effective rescue techniques are the backbone of the training. Alois Tischler, instructor and deputy chairman of the Wasserwacht Dorfen, said: "It is crucial that our emergency services are sure to handle personal protective equipment and master various rescue equipment." These include the search, rescue and primary care of injuries, especially in cases of drowning accidents.
Lydia Bauer, the chair of the Wasserwacht Finsing, added that communication and teamwork are also essential for success in critical situation. "Physical fitness alone is not enough; our rescuers also have to learn how strong the cohesion is when it comes to saving life."
The training builds on previous courses, such as the first aid course and the acquisition of the lifeguard badge in silver. It forms the basis for further training courses that are required for different deployment scenarios in indoor pools, on lakes or by rapid use groups.
The successful graduates include Eduard Boltner and Olaf Petrol from the Wasserwacht Finsing as well as Birk Münchhausen, Jeremias Bartl, Leonard Maier, Leoni Tischler and Lukas Kohwagner from the Wasserwacht Dorfen. With this new knowledge and skills, you are now better prepared to act effectively in emergencies.
