Reading fun for Altenerding: Awards award ceremony inspires young readers!
In Altenerding, a happy award ceremony for the summer vacation reading club in the local library recently took place, in which the enthusiasm of the young readers was noticeable. This time the campaign was particularly exciting, since the Altenerding library took part in the event for the first time in cooperation with the city library, which significantly expanded the scope and range of the program.
The library manager Renate Paukner-Fill was enthusiastic about the high number of 46 registrations, of which 25 children had successfully read three or more books. These hardworking readers were rewarded with certificates for their performance and were allowed to take part in a raffle. In order to loosen up the event, Katharina and Michael Schlögl provided musical entertainment during the award ceremony. The proud kids received their documents and were able to choose a present on the raffle table.
special experiences in the reading club
The reading club is an excellent way to promote the children's reading pleasure and motivate them to deal with books. Renate Paukner-Fill mentioned that the positive response has encouraged that this reading club will take place again next year. "It is nice to see how enthusiasm for reading is sparked," she said.
Another highlight is just around the corner: On October 12, the Altenerding library opens its doors for an open day. This not only offers the opportunity to find out about the new book supplements, but from 4 p.m. a Mare’s Kasperltheater for children from the age of four will also be offered. The culmination of the day is the reading “Panoptikum” with Wolfgang F. Hofer at 7 p.m., in which musical interludes are also promised. Admission is free, which makes the event particularly attractive for families.
among those who benefited from the prices of the reading club included Lisa Bendl, Raphael Bendl, Florian Borbely and many other enthusiastic young readers. These units not only made awareness of the importance of reading, but also brought a feeling of community and pride into the room.
The participants and organizers look full of anticipation at future events that are supposed to further strengthen love for books. The positive development of the reading club could be an incentive for other libraries to create similar offers.
