Security proceeds: Donauwörth is planning new height signs for street!

Donauwörth, Deutschland - The security at the Achtsesheim underpass in Donauwörth is now the focus! It is already known that the transfer height there is only 3.50 meters. But although this height is clearly signposted from all directions, the city plans further measures to draw attention to the dangers. The structural improvements are urgently necessary, because there are still short -measured vehicles that wedge in this low underpass.

The road traffic authority of the city of Donauwörth has made leader. The district is responsible, but since the underpass is in the urban area, the city and district authorities have jointly adopted measures. "It is currently being worked on on the district road, including the borders and drainage facilities. A continuous depth of the road is simply impossible due to the flood risk," explains Gerhard Schappin from the district office.

Fast reactions for more security

The affected institutions are already voting! City, district, Deutsche Bahn and the police pull together to minimize the risk of road users. The underpass should not only be identified by additional warning markings, but also by two other tags towards Donauwörth. The city hopes to be able to attach the new signage quickly to prevent accidents in the future.
