Autumn enjoyment: Discover the Martini walk in Wemding!

Wemding, Deutschland - In the picturesque town of Wemding, a special event will take place next Saturday. The "Martini-Walk" invites all interested parties to an autumnal walk, which is under the motto "in the footsteps of the meteorite". The event begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Tourist Information Wemding, where city guide Karl-Heinz John will warmly welcome all participants.

The 2.5-hour hike offers an impressive insight into the geological peculiarities of the region, which is characterized by the historic huge event. The route leads the participants on well-kept forest paths over the idyllic Lohweiher and past quarries that have impressive traces of the meteorite attack. The planned walk extends over approximately 5.5 kilometers, which is why good footwear is essential in order to be able to cope with the route comfortably. The physical well -being is also taken care of: at the destination, the Geopark culinary partner company "pilgrimage host", the hikers can enjoy a delicious lunch.

Invitation to participate

The commitment of the local entrepreneurs and the trade association for such events was made by Mayor Dr. Martin Drexler expressly recognized. "This is not all a matter of course, there is a lot of work and diligence behind it - mostly on a voluntary basis," explains the mayor with pride. He encourages the people from the region to visit the Martinimarkt in Wemding and shop on site to keep the city centers alive. "Buy on site instead of online," emphasizes Drexler, "to keep our city centers alive."
