The Donau-Ries Clinic has vigorously invested in a brand new "BEUP" circular hall in order to enable expectant mothers to make self-determined and comfortable birth. Under the direction of the experienced gynecologist Paul Keim, who now leads the obstetrics section, the care of pregnant women is raised to a new level. Keim not only brings his expertise, but also runs a practice in Rain am Lech, where he looks after up to 500 pregnant women every year.

The innovative delivery room is unique in the region between Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Augsburg. Here women can give birth in an upright position, which makes birth easier and increases the likelihood of natural vaginal births. The equipment of the "be-up" space includes comfortable loungers, mats and flexible foam elements, which enable better mobility. According to a study, this method can significantly increase the birth rate of natural delivery.

"We optimize the care of pregnant women," explains Jürgen Busse, CEO of the Donau-Ries clinics. Women's clinic chief Bart van de Pas emphasizes the family atmosphere and the high medical security in the clinic. In the event of complications, a clinic intensive care unit is available. Paul Keim is enthusiastic about the new cooperation: "We have a fantastic team of medicine, care and midwives. Women decide how to get their child."
