Fire brigade festival with humor: Waibling/Parnkofen inspires Pilsting!

The fire brigade Waibling/Parnkofen in the district of Dingolfing-Landau recently organized an exciting evening to win the Pilsting fire brigade as a sponsorship association for the upcoming 150th anniversary next year. The event was peppered with creative challenges and an entertaining train, which was led by the members of the fire brigade. The festival committee ensured that the path through the market was secured and festively designed.

A special highlight of the evening was the sociable train, in which not only the festival committee, but also numerous guests of honor were represented. The festival mother Daniela Müller-Reichl, the festival bride Lisa Schott and the honorary mother Elisabeth Hopfensperger moved together with the patron Martin Martin here in the direction of the fire brigade equipment house, accompanied by musical performances by the "Spirifankerl". Christoph Schinharl, the chairman of FF Pilsting, noted that they were probably the only weir in Lower Bavaria who brought their own “Scheitl”.

In the tool shed, the Pilstinger firefighters had created a ballroom from the rather unadorned room. Various challenges were waiting for the guests who not only required skill, but also teamwork. For example, the participants had to hit a cup with a ball attached to the hip - a task that required skill and concentration. In addition, there were numerous opportunity for a little humorous competition.

A highlight was a stationary bike where members of the festival committee had to pedal. "We want the event to have a green fingerprint," said Schinharl while trying to make a small blue light shine - under the pressure that the light shone through to avoid criminal snaps. The atmosphere was jovial and happy, accompanied by vocal performances that contributed to the entertainment and enjoyment of the guests present.

During the evening, the humorous tension between the request for support and Schinhar's neutral neutral attitude was noticeable. Again and again he left the question open whether Pilsting would accept the sponsoring. But the Waibling/Parnkofen fire brigade mastered the challenges and finally gained approval for the long -awaited partnership.

Ultimately, both weirs are one step closer to the common festival after an entertaining evening, which is to take place next year. The organée events and mutual support both at the Waibling/Parnkofen fire brigade and the Pilstinger fire brigade show the strength and the team spirit that prevails in the volunteer fire brigades - even if it is humorous.
