Excitement on the track: Rally sprint in Deggendorf inspires fans!
In the picturesque environment of Rosenheim, an exciting motorsive event recently took place. The AC Deggendorf e.V. in the ADAC organized its 26th and 27th rally sprint on the specified course around the Primbsenhof, strategically at the Deggendorf motorway junction. A total of 46 participants registered for this event to collect valuable championship points for the South Bavarian ADAC SPRINT championship and the Lower Bavarian Maier-Korduletsch Rally Championship. Particularly noteworthy was the participation of the RGR Rallye team, which performed with driver Thomas Sobek from Großkarolinenfeld and his copilot Siegi Schrankl.
The team competed with an ambitious goal, and despite the changing weather conditions, they managed to adjust well on the route. In the first event, "Primbsenhof 1", Sobek and Schrankl achieved third place in their rating class NC1 with their Ehrle Mitsubishi Evo. They ended up in fourth place in the overall ranking, behind the teams Rudi Weileder/Lea Weileder and Rainer Noller/Tanja.
progress in the second round
After a short forced break, the team started for the second event, "Primbsenhof 2". There, Sobek and Schrankl were able to significantly increase their performance and achieved second place in their classification class in the first round. Unfortunately, however, the second rating was no longer started due to a breakdown, which means that they could not improve. Ultimately, they took second place behind the class winning team Weileder, while Rainer Noller and Tanja Schlicht in the Opel Corsa Rally4 won the overall ranking of this event. They followed in second place, and Sobek/Schrankl also finished in a solid fourth place.
Another team from the RGR Rallye team also faced the challenge: Thomas Lang and Frank Huber drove their BMW E36 in the NC7 rating category. At the first event, they were lucky enough to take third place behind the teams of Philipp Hausladen/Doris Haidl and Stephan Wechsler/Cornelia Chudziak. Unfortunately prevented technical problems with the drive to participate in the second event.
The success of the teams at this rally shows once again how dynamic and challenging motorsport in Germany. Despite the difficulties and unpredictable circumstances that often occur at such events, the drivers have demonstrated their skills. Above all, the achievements of Sobek and Schrankl have hope that they will do even better in future competitions.
